Privacy

Last updated May 19, 2026. nyt.today is an independent site and is not affiliated with The New York Times.

Analytics

We use privacy-conscious product analytics (PostHog) and Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages and hint interactions are most helpful. Those services may set first-party or third-party cookies / local storage, capture approximate location, device type, and on-site events. You can block trackers with your browser or OS privacy controls.

Advertising

We may show display ads (for example through Google AdSense). Ad partners can use cookies or similar technologies to measure performance and personalize ads where allowed by law. See Google’s ad settings for opt-outs that apply across participating networks (Google Ad Settings).

Data we don’t sell

We do not operate logins on this site and do not knowingly sell personal information as defined by U.S. state privacy laws. Puzzle content is informational; you choose when to reveal spoilers.
